Washington
DC is a lovely city to live, but the glory may not last long if you are a bit
careless about your belongings. After living here for about a decade, this is
my personal experience about the city. Undoubtedly this is one of the most
sought after places in the world to live in, but it is equally in demand by the
anti socials.
During
my 10 years of stay, I have seen a number of thefts and burglaries at my place.
Since the day I started a new phase of my life here, there have been a number
of changes here. Firstly, people have become more conscious regarding the
security of their property. Secondly people have started developing an
independent thought. Gone are those days, when my dad used to go to work every
morning and my mom used to prepare us for the school. My dad brought money for
us and my mom managed it efficiently. Inflation coupled with economic recession
has compelled people to look for stable source of income. And hence, our days
of a working dad and a home maker mom have become obsolete. And consequently,
the busy office hours of a working day are becoming safest time for burglars to
break into houses.
In
the last 10 years I have seen a number of locksmith service
providers near to my place. Many a times I have also sought their help for installing
and repairing the lock and key of my main door. Though for some time I felt
life has started becoming a hell, the emergence of the locksmith services
seemed as a silver lining to me.
Telling
you about an incident when I was accidentally locked out of my house, while
giving food to my pet stray dog. Now, I won’t talk much about my stray pets. It
would take you more than a couple of hours to read. Telling you, in short, I am
a passionate animal lover. Every night I feed a pack of dogs before taking my
own food.
As
I was about to return, I couldn’t open my door. It was then I remembered the bammm, which I had heard few minutes
before. Oh My God, I have locked myself outside! And that too without a shawl;
beneath clear chilly winter sky! I immediately called my neighbors.
Call the emergency locksmith! Exclaimed
one of my neighbors.
“A what?” I asked. Is there someone
called an emergency locksmith? I didn’t know about anything such.
The first one to be called was DC
Locksmith, and the guy at the other end refused to take the complaint.
They didn’t have any staff members at that moment. And subsequently a number of
locksmith numbers were dialed, but none of them could manage to come to my
place. It was festive season!
Finally it was Affordable
Locksmith who came to help me. After 15 minutes I was able to enter my
home. Thanks to the guys, who stood by my side! When the entire Washington was
busy celebrating, these 2 guys did a benevolent job. God Bless you!
